The Global Media Forum is Germany’s largest and most significant international media conference - this year drawing around 1,000 media experts from more than 90 countries, under this year’s theme, “Breaking the Barriers, Building Bridges”.

The spread of disinformation already poses great risks to democratic societies worldwide. With the rise of AI-driven disinformation, these challenges have become even more complex and urgent. Addressing them requires cross-continental dialogue, knowledge sharing, and joint action.

By fostering mutual learning and collaboration between Europe and Africa, this initiative seeks to strengthen media integrity and democratic values in the face of rapidly evolving technological threats.
