The corona crisis divided the EU economically. With the new special fund the instrument of the European Semester has a crucial role to play. What must we bear in mind?

The coronavirus crisis and its economic repercussions have further undermined economic harmonisation within the EU. The major support programs of the EU respectively of its member states intensified this. The distribution of the main part of the "Next Generation EU"-fund through the European Semester makes sense.
