Am 27. Dezember 2009 findet in Kroatiendie erste Runde der Wahl desStaatspräsidenten statt. Da derAmtsinhaber Stjepan Mesić nach zweifünfjährigen Wahlperioden nicht mehrwiedergewählt werden kann, werden dieKroaten spätestens im zweiten Wahlgangam 10. Januar 2010 einen neuenPräsidenten bekommen.
