From Jaffa (oranges) to JAVA - Digitalization and innovation in Israel

While Germany has a strong and productive "Mittelstand" with a high demand for technological innovation, while Israel lacks its own industry, but features an impressive innovation ecosystem with solutions for the foreign markets.
The group underwent an intensive program in the start-up city Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where they met with experts and stakeholders representing venture capital funds, start-ups, innovation scouting offices for large German companies, as well as representatives from the political and diplomatic field. Beyond that, the KAS Office Palestinian Territories offered the delegation meaningful insights into the Palestinian tech scene by connecting the MPs and staffers with representatives of the local government and start-up world in Ramallah.
