GEOPOLITICS and FOREIGN POLICY
Whether it is Chinese investments in the Tirana airport, the 16+1 initiative or the One Belt One Road project, the influence of Russian controlled media in social networks like Russia Today or Sputnik, Turkey, who wants to restore its position on the Balkan from ottoman times or other Islamic nations like Iran or the Gulf states, who want to strengthen their influx on Albanian education, the religious sphere and also on its infrastructure projects in and around Tirana. And not to mention the European Union, the US and NATO.
How will Albania respond and act accordingly? How will Albania shape its position on the world stage and react to foreign influences from all directions of the globe?
These questions were the main topics of the expert forum “GEOPOLITICS, FOREIGN POLICY AND THE INFUNCE OF THIRD ACTORS IN ALBANIA”, organized by the KAS Albania in cooperation with the AIIS, at Thursday the 24th of September.
