Combating corruption in economy and in public service – delegation in Berlin and Cologne/Bonn in the middle of December

Since April 2017 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kazakhstan has been cooperating with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on a topic of combating corruption.

With a delegation of eight people from the General Prosecutor’s Office, Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, anti-corruption agency, Akimat and Maslikhat of Astana city the KAS visited the ministries and Bundestag in Berlin, the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn, as well as the General directorate of Customs and the Federal Office of administration in Cologne. In the German Bundestag a discussion took place with the chairman of German – Central Asian Parliament group, the member of Bundestag, Manfred Grund.

Through the discussions with economic politicians and lawyers was clarified, how relevant is combating corruption for a successful development of state. By visiting of the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn and through the lecture of the president Andreas Mundt, as well as the talks wi th representatives of the Chamber of State contracts the principles of market economy and protection of fair competition were presented. The stronger digitalization in administration, especially in customs area, was demonstrated in the both supreme authorities of Cologne.
