While introducing the "dual education" on a German model, Kazakhstan, in recent years, has already taken an important step towards increasing the competitiveness and innovation ability of enterprises. About 130 participants from various companies, government agencies and departments, as well as academic institutions attended the round-table conference. The socio-political goal was to contribute to the economic transformation of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the conference, it was stated that for Kazakhstan as a new WTO member and as for the so-called "bridge" for global trade between Asia and Europe, there are new opportunities in developing international tasks in "logistics". Large international companies in the field of logistics who want to use the advantageous location of Kazakhstan to provide their services need highly skilled specialists, whose number is not enough in Kazakhstan at the moment.

German experts: Rainer Görz from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) , Professor Burghard Scheel from the Magdeburg Institute Fraunhofer, Martin Willhaus from the Kühne Foundation, and Ralf Haberzettl from the international logistics company Kühne-Nagel.

The event was opened by the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany Jörn Rosenberg and the Head of the Representation of Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Kazakhstan Thomas Helm.

Within the framework of the roundtable with experts from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Astana Akimat and the Atameken Chamber of Commerce, the idea of creating an innovative cluster "Logistics" in Almaty and the transformation of the city into a logistics hub was discussed.
