At the beginning the club’s chairman Kaiyrbolat Sakhmetov gave a speech, stressing the current relevance of the topic and expressed his pleasure about the cooperation with the KAS. Afterwards Thomas Helm, director of the KAS foreign office, continued with a lecture on the structure of intelligence services and their control in Germany as a result of the country’s past and presented an international comparison as well as a prospect for the future. The following active discussion confirmed the large interests of the participants into issues of international security and the terroristic threat.
