Democratic Transition and the Role of Law (in German)

Eight months after the ousting of former president Hosni Mubarak, Egypt faces major challenges during the transitional period. The lack of revolutionary unified leadership, the emergence of new political movements and the political role of the military are worrisome for democratic forces and raises questions whether Egypt will be able to manage the transition to democracy. Invited by KAS and CCCD, political scientists, journalists, jurists, and politicians discussed problems of the transformation process in Egypt in a conference.
