Skills Development for Future Party Leaders – KDP Young Leadership Program
An intensive 4 sessions program was planned for a 5-days training with up to 3 international lecturers and 20 participants in each workshop. The lecturers were selected according to specific skills in leadership training, political party collaboration and international protocol. The program was designed out of various topics and activities. The planned workshops focused on several topics such as professional human resource skills for party staff, how to select the right staff, how to discuss problems in the media which have a massive impact on the lives of people and parties’ acceptance, how to deal with conflicts, how to follow protocol rules, and how to avoid corruptive practices in placement.
Providing a set of tools and methods and sharing best practices was an important part of the training sessions. The detailed content was adapted to the special needs based on further negotiation with the training departments of the KDP. The seminar sessions provided several practical examples and space for discussion among the different parties.
