The Institute for Political Education, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace are pleased to host a closed, half-day workshop, entitled Sectoral Review Workshop: Decentralization, to take place at the Kyiv School of Economics in Kyiv, Ukraine on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.
The workshop will convene 40-45 Ukrainian and international experts and officials engaged in Ukraine’s reform process to assess decentralization reform efforts. Specifically, workshop participants will assess the conceptual and legislative status of decentralization reforms and the process of implementation thereof, and discuss next steps for future reform in Ukraine. The workshop will be conducted in English and Ukrainian with simultaneous translation, under Chatham House rule.
This workshop is organized as part of the Carnegie Endowment’s Monitoring Ukraine Reform project, an initiative to provide objective, rigorous assessments of the Ukrainian reform effort via a series of regular workshops, publications, and briefings prepared by a team of scholars based inside Ukraine.
