Clinton, Obama, McCain: Who Has the Best Health Care Reform?

The crisis of the American health care system has been recognized across party lines. Facing the challenge of 47 million uninsured Americans and an enormous increase in health care expenses, all candidates in this year’s presidential campaign have given the issue of health care reform a central spot in their political agendas. The goals of the Republican John McCain and the Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are mostly identital: all are trying to make health care more affordable and to stop the escalation of health care costs. Nevertheless, there are crucial differences in the candidates’ reform models.
