Snap Election in Denmark Confirms Current Government

Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen waited until 11pm before he stepped in front of a cheering crowd of supporters in the old market hall in Copenhagen. This happened just after Helle Thorning-Schmidt, chairwoman of the Social Democrats, had admitted not to have achieved the hoped for election result (PDF in German only).
