Rebuilding Gaza’s Electricity Infrastructure – a Fast Track Approach
The study "Rebuilding Gaza’s Electricity Infrastructure – a Fast Track Approach" analyzes existing strategies and projects aimed at upgrading and expanding the electricity infrastructure in Gaza, with a critical look at the timeline of various project components and the enabling measures and activities which would assist in their advancement. In cases where the time line for the completion of these projects stretches for several years, or where the enabling measures may not be realistic, the study propose a new strategy based on solar energy and practical solutions to raise electricity output within one year, which can put the re-building of Gaza's electricity infrastructure on a faster and cost-effective track.
After a fruitful discussion that brought up valuable comments and suggestions, we are now looking forward to publishing the final report in November.
We extend out thanks to Dr. Karim Nashashibi and Yitzhak Gal who teamed up with us for this project.
