Dr. Georg Schneider

Georg Schneider was born in 1977 in Darmstadt and has been working since April 2017 at the Office of the Federal City of Bonn within the Political Education Forum North Rhine-Westphalia (Department of Civic Education) as Policy Advisor for Economic Policy. From 2010 onward, he worked in the Departments of Foreign Scholarships and Domestic Scholarships within the Department of Scholarship Programs and Culture, where his focus areas included foreign and economic policy. He studied Medieval and Modern History, Political Science, and Public Law in Bonn, as well as Political and Social Sciences in Paris. He earned his doctorate at the University of Bonn with a dissertation on contemporary history titled Alois Mertes (1921–1985). Das außenpolitische Denken und Handeln eines Christlichen Demokraten (The Foreign Policy Thought and Action of a Christian Democrat).
