Lucas Lamberty
Head of the Executive Board Office
Lucas Lamberty has headed the Foundation's management staff and Executive Board office since 1 June 2024. Before taking over as head of the Iraq office based in Baghdad in December 2022, he was a consultant in the Executive Board office and worked for two years as a research assistant in the Syria/Iraq office.
He studied International Relations, Middle Eastern Studies and Economics in London, Beirut and Heidelberg. He gained professional experience at the Representation of the Iraqi-Kurdish Regional Government in London, in the Iran and Arabian Peninsula Division of the Federal Foreign Office and in the European Parliament with Prof Dr Godelieve Quisthoudt-Rowohl. As a former scholarship holder of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung's support programme for young journalists, Mr Lamberty also has a background in journalism and has worked for various daily newspapers and online media.
