Studied history, philosophy, Catholic theology and political science in Bonn and Munich, Magister Artium;
Distance learning programme in business administration at the University of Hagen, certificate;
Freelance journalist and publicist since 1985;
1987-91 Assistant to Prelate Prof. Dr Lothar Roos at the Chair of Christian Social Teaching and Pastoral Sociology at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at the University of Bonn;
1992-2002 Diocesan Advisor for Social and Political Education in the Archdiocese of Berlin;
2002-2004 Federal Managing Director of the Family Federation of German Catholics;
Since July 2004 employee of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, October 2004 to July 2011 head of the Warsaw office and country representative for Poland, until May 2007 also country representative for Belarus.
From August 2011 until March 2024 state representative of the KAS for Brandenburg; since July 2024 Head of the KAS Bosnia and Herzegovina Office in Sarajevo.
Member of the CDU in Oranienburg, Oberhavel district association, Brandenburg state association since 2000; advisory member of the Brandenburg CDU state executive from 2011 to 2024;
Member of the CD programme commission from 2015 to 2018 and Head of the working group "Principles, fundamental values, integration, Europe".
