On October 1st, 2013, Dr. Volker Pilz has assumed the direction of the Regional Programme Climate Change, Environment and Energy Security in Latin America located in Rio de Janeiro after several months of temporary supervision by Felix Dane. Before, Dr. Pilz has been managing partner of a company in the wind energy sector as well as managing director of Mittelständische Mineralöl- und Energiewirtschaft Deutschland e.V., a political association of German medium-sized companies in the energy and petroleum industry.
