Protektionismus und ökonomischer Nationalismus bieten keine Auswege aus der Krise, auch wenn kurzfristig die Versuchung besteht, mit protektionistischen Maßnahmen im Abschwung Arbeitsplätze zu retten und Wohlstand zu wahren. Ein Wettlauf um Marktöffnung wäre weitaus hilfreicher als einer um Abschottung.
