Der EU- Beitritt Rumäniens und Fragen der europäischen Sicherheit standen im Vordergrund der Gespräche von Präsident Traian Băsescu während seines ersten offiziellen Besuchs in Frankreich am 21./22. November, zu dem ihn der französische Staatspräsident Jacques Chirac eingeladen hatte.
