Egypt and Iran facing a new "Ice-Age"?

Ein Film sorgt für Spannungen zwischen Kairo und Teheran

The recent release of an Iranian movie portraying the assassination of the former Egyptian president Sadat resulted in a considerable cool-off concerning Egyptian-Iranian relations. However, public protests against the film in Egypt are rather reason than catalyst for taking distance from Teheran. What gives in fact greater reason from the Egyptian perspective for an "ice age" between the countries are political concerns such as regional and energy-related issues. (in German)
