The Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in Tech Summit, held on 22 April 2026 at the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek, brought together 60 participants from across Namibia’s technology, business, and development sectors. Hosted by Salt Essentials in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Microsoft, Complete Enterprise Solutions, Capricorn Foundation, CRAN, Acumatica, MACH, and First Distribution, the summit created a powerful platform for dialogue, networking, and inspiration focused on advancing women’s participation in technology and leadership.
Speakers from institutions such as the Development Bank of Namibia, UNESCO, CRAN, NIPDB, and leading private sector and civil society organizations highlighted the urgent need to close the gender gap in tech, strengthen women’s leadership, and ensure that innovation is designed inclusively and for people. Key themes included women’s economic empowerment, breaking structural barriers in male-dominated industries, mental health and resilience, self-leadership, and the ethical development of AI and technology.
The event emphasized that women are not only participants in the digital future but essential drivers of innovation and economic growth. Speakers encouraged women to take up space in leadership, challenge systemic barriers, and actively shape the future of technology in Namibia.
