Anastasia Rentzing

Anastasia Rentzing has been serving as Country Officer in the Middle East and North Africa Department since August 2025. Prior to this, she worked as a trainee in the Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa, based in Côte d’Ivoire, from December 2023 onwards. She completed her undergraduate studies in International Relations and Management and earned her Master’s degree in Peace Research and International Relations – with academic stays in Regensburg, Tübingen, Valparaíso (Chile), and Stellenbosch (South Africa). She gained practical experience, among others, at the KAS country office in Tanzania, the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF), and the German Bundestag. In addition, she worked as a freelance contributor for the State Agency for Civic Education Baden-Württemberg and the Berghof Foundation.
