Caroline Kanter

Caroline Kanter has been Head of the European and International Cooperation Department since February 2026 and took over the position of Deputy Head of this department on April 17, 2023. Previously, she headed the KAS country office  in Paris, France  from August 2020 to April 2023 and the Italy/Vatican country office in Rome from October 2014 to July 2020. At the foundation's headquarters, she worked as a country officer for Southeast Asia (2013-2014) and Western Europe (2009-2012). After completing her studies in political science, she began working at KAS as a research associate in the Washington, D.C. office. She gained further professional experience in the field of executive education at Georgetown University and the French business school ESSEC.
