Dr. Cedric Bierganns
Policy Advisor for Security Policy and the German Armed Forces, Office of the Federal City of Bonn
Since October 2019, Dr. Cedric Bierganns has been strengthening the political education efforts of the Office of the Federal City of Bonn as Policy Advisor for Security Policy and the German Armed Forces. Previously, he completed his doctoral studies as a Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship holder with a dissertation on Ronald Reagan, the NATO Double-Track Decision, and German-American relations in the 1980s. He studied Contemporary History and International Relations at the University of Bonn, Washington State University, and the University of St Andrews in Scotland. His professional experience includes work with the German Commission for UNESCO, the United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC), and as Regional Director of the Young German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Bonn.
