Christoph Kleiber

Christoph Kleiber has served as the Policy Advisor for Central America and Mexico, as well as for special and cross-cutting issues in Latin America, since January 2026. Prior to that, he worked as the program officer for Latin America in the Domestic Programs Department from July 2023 to December 2025. Before that, he spent two years at the Foundation’s office in South Africa as part of its trainee program. Mr. Kleiber holds two master’s degrees in International Management/CEMS from the Rotterdam School of Management and the Richard Ivey School of Business (Canada). He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Rotterdam, during which he spent a semester abroad at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was a scholarship recipient of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Student Aid Program and completed internships with Markus Koob, a member of the German Bundestag; Andreas Hofmeister, a member of the Hessian State Parliament; and in the strategy department of FC Bayern München AG.
