Daniela Braun

Since May 1, 2023, Daniela Braun has been heading the KAS Country Office in the Philippines, based in Manila. From September 2018, she worked as Policy Advisor for Foreign and Security Policy in the Department of International Politics and Security within the main division Analysis and Consulting. Before joining KAS, Daniela Braun held professional positions at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), the German Marshall Fund, and the German Bundestag. In addition to her work on foreign and security policy issues, she has focused particularly on the nexus between health and security, conducting research in this field, among other things, as an International Fox Fellow at Yale University in 2016/17. Daniela Braun studied Political Science in Bonn, Berlin, Warsaw, and Washington, D.C.
