Hans-Hartwig Blomeier
Head of the KAS office Mexico
Hans-Hartwig Blomeier holds a degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Kassel.He started at the Foundation as a foreign staff member in Peru from 1987 to 1992. He thenworked as a country officer for the region of Mexico, Venezuela and the Caribbean, as well ashead of the Latin America department at the KAS headquarters in Sankt Augustin. From 1996 to2002, he headed the KAS office in Chile and then in Argentina from 2002 to 2006, beforereturning to Germany at the KAS headquarters in Berlin from 2006 to 2012 as Team Leader forLatin America. This was followed by a year in Uruguay in 2013, where he implemented andheaded the regional program "Party Promotion in Latin America" in addition to the foreignoffice. From 2013 to 2018, he headed the KAS office in London with responsibility for theUnited Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. In May 2018, he took over as head of the KASoffice in Mexico with responsibility for Mexico and Cuba.
