Ingo F.J. Badoreck

Ingo Badoreck, LL.M., has served as the Advisor for Economy, Rule of Law, and Security East/Central Africa since August 2024. From 2019 to 2024, he headed the KAS Rule of Law Program for Francophone Africa, based in Dakar, Senegal. Prior to that, he served as Secretary General of the German Africa Foundation in Berlin for three years. He gained experience in the economic sector as Director of the GermanChamber of Commerce (AHK Kenya), based in Nairobi, from 2011 to 2016. As head of the security sector reform program, he had previously served as an Attaché for the EU delegation in Afghanistan for three years. Before that, he worked as Political Affairs Officer with the UN peacekeeping mission MONUC in Kinshasa and headed the KAS country office in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2001 to 2004.
