Jonas Nitschke
Policy Advisor and Deputy Head in the Regional Programme Political Dialogue Asia in Singapore
Since January 2026, Jonas Nitschke started as a Policy Advisor and Deputy Head in the Regional Programme Political Dialogue Asia in Singapore. Previously, he worked as Programme Manager for Democracy and Governance in the KAS Multinational Development Policy Dialogue in Brussels. He began his work with the Foundation as an intern at its international office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Jonas has been actively involved in youth participation, climate policy, and multilateral issues. He served as an EU Youth Delegate to the G20 Summit in India, was a member of The ONE Campaign’s EU–Africa Task Force, and participated in the European Commission’s Climate Youth Task Force. His professional experience also includes positions at the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Qatar, as a staff member to Dr. Marcus Optendrenk in the North Rhine–Westphalia State Parliament, the German Television in Singapore, at the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Tanzania, and at the Wilfried Martens Centre in Brussels. He studied International Relations and Political Science in Kleve and Vienna.
