Michaela Braun

Michaela Braun has been Head of the Costa Rica and Panama International Office since June 2025. Prior to this, she served as a Country Officer in the Regional Department for Latin America from October 2019 onwards. From 2017 to 2019, she was a trainee at the South Africa International Office and had previously become familiar with the work of KAS through several months of programme-related activities in various sub-projects of the office in Kenya. She holds a degree in Media and Cultural Studies and completed further professional training as an international project coordinator in development cooperation in Witzenhausen. During her studies in Siegen and Cologne, she gained practical experience in the fields of media and communication and subsequently worked as a consultant at a public relations agency for international clients.
