Thilo Ernst Pries

Thilo Ernst Pries was born in 1984 in Eutin, Schleswig-Holstein. He studied Medieval and Modern History, Eastern European History, and Political Science at Kiel University and spent a semester abroad in 2009 at the University of Salamanca, Spain. Since October 2012, he has been working in the Department of Academic Services / Archive for Christian-Democratic Policy (WD/ACDP), initially as an administrative officer and, since July 2019, as a Policy Advisor in the Department of the Manuscript Archive. He is responsible for the archival holdings of the CDU Federal Party and deals, among other areas, with archival science issues related to archival law (data protection, copyright) and the digitization of archival materials. In 2021, he completed his part-time Master’s degree in Archival Science at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam with distinction.
