Ulrike Carrillo

Ulrike Carrillo began her traineeship on October 1, 2025, with the Regional Program on Party Dialogue and Democracy in Latin America, based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Prior to this role, she served as Media Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin and as Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Leipzig. Her professional experience also includes positions at Germany’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York and at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles. In addition, she spent extended periods abroad in Central Asia, China, and Venezuela. She holds a degree in North American and Latin American Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, a Master of Science in International Area Studies, and an LL.M. in International Economic Law from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Ulrike is an alumna of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
