Journey to Justice was born from a conviction that promoting the rule of law requires reaching beyond legal circles to engage the wider public. Inspired by a landmark Kenyan environmental rights case that was little known despite its significance, Dr. Stefanie Rothenberger envisioned a documentary that would showcase ordinary citizens' pursuit of justice and inspire others to seek legal redress. Developed in partnership with filmmaker Ravi Karmalker and Kenyatta University Law School, the project seeks to raise awareness of access to justice while advancing the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Rule of Law Program's longstanding mission of strengthening the rule of law and human rights across Sub-Saharan Africa.
