On 13-14 February 2026 in Tunis, KAS PolDiMed, together with SALMA Dialogue, hosted an expert workshop on cybersecurity, bringing together leading experts and practitioners from across the MENA region and Europe.

In a context marked by a intensifying geopolitical competition, accelerating digital transformation, and expanding cyber threats, the conference addressed cybersecurity as a strategic domain reshaping sovereignty, digital governance, and regional stability in the MENA region.

The discussions focused on:

  • Cyber threat dynamics involving state and non-state actors,
  • Digital governance frameworks and approaches to digital sovereignty,
  • The strategic role of emerging technologies and the private sector,
  • Prospects for regional and international cooperation in cyberspace.

 

The workshop enabled an in-depth exchange among experts and practitioners, generating strategic reflections to inform policy debates and long-term approaches to cybersecurity and digital governance.
