Egypt argues over Face Veil

The Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar triggered a headed debate by his statement against the face veil. The numerous educational institutions of the Al-Azhar as well as the dormitories of the Cairo University now refuse access to fully veiled students. The consequences are angry protests and lawsuits. So far it is the government that benefits most from this dispute. (in German)
