Chile - Kommunalwahl 2016

HISTORISCH NIEDRIGE WAHLBETEILIGUNG – NUEVA MAYORIA VERLIERT AN ZUSTIMMUNG

Am 23. Oktober 2016 fanden in Chile die landesweiten Kommunalwahlen statt. Rund 13,5 Millionen Wahlberechtigte waren aufgerufen in den 346 Gemeinden ihre Stimme abzugeben. Dreißig Parteien stellten sich im ganzen Land zur Wahl. Die historisch niedrige Wahlbeteiligung von 35 Prozent (von 42 % im Jahre 2012) ist die vielleicht bedrückendste Nachricht des gestrigen Wahltages.
