Anja Czymmeck has a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Geography from the University of Bonn and was scientific assistant to members of the North Rhine-Westphalia Parliament and the European Parliament (Brussels and Strasbourg). Subsequently, from 1998, she held different positions at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s headquarters in Berlin, as well as in other countries, such as: project assistant in Venezuela, Desk Officer of the Latin America team, Director of KAS offices in Fortaleza/Brazil and North-Macedonia and Kosovo. From January 2015 to April 2016, she was the Desk Officer of the foundation’s projects in Western, Southeast, Northern Europe and in the Andean Regions. Current position since August 2019: Director of KAS Brazil Office in Rio de Janeiro.
