Dr. Franziska Rinke

Dr Franziska Rinke studied law in Jena and wrote a dissertation on the Environmental Information Directive. She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, as well as partly in Brussels and at the Consulate General in Los Angeles. She was admitted to the bar in Frankfurt am Main in January 2012 and initially worked as an in-house lawyer in the compliance department of the ThyssenKrupp Group, both in Germany and abroad.

Dr Rinke has been working at KAS on legal policy issues since August 2015. In January 2017, she took over the coordination of the international rule of law programmes. For many years, she worked in the Analysis and Consultancy Department on the rule of law, international law, human rights and the independence of the judiciary. Since 2025, she has been responsible for the thematic focus on integration.
