On 27 October 2024, parliamentary elections were held in Uzbekistan, which were won as expected by the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (LDPU). For the first time, a mixed electoral system was used, which includes elements of both majority and proportional representation. The newly elected parliament will have more powers.
