Rule of law, the protection of basic rights and legislation that promotes and secures the social market economy – these are a few of the core concerns of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

Rule of Law Programme Worldwide

Since 1990, the foundation has complemented its international projects on democracy promotion and political dialogue with the transnational Global Rule of Law Programme. Locations of the five regional programmes are in Bogotá for Latin America, Singapore for Asia, Nairobi and Dakar for Sub-Saharan Africa, Bucharest for South-East Europe and Beirut for the Middle East/North Africa. Global activities concerning the rule of law are coordinated from Berlin.
